Abstract

This article examines the extent to which the topics of environmental sustainability, inequality, gender, and racial disparities have entered the field of central banking research. Using bibliometric analysis, we show that the presence of these themes in central banking research has risen markedly in recent years, both in absolute terms and relative to the overall volume of research in the field. Among these, the ordering in magnitude is environment, inequality, gender, and race/inclusivity-related topics.
