Abstract

Collected here are nine responses to the question, “What 21st-century works will merit a close reading in 2050?” Clarifications of that question are provided in the prologue. The nine respondents are Niclas Berggren, Arthur Diamond, Lanny Ebenstein, David George, Hannes Gissurarson, Charles Goodhart, Jimena Hurtado, Daniel Klein, and Arnold Kling. In the future another tranche of responses will be provided, from respondents with last names beginning L through Z (link).
