Andrés Marroquín

Andrés Marroquín is a professor of economics at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala. He earned a B.A. in economics at UFM, and a Ph.D. at George Mason University. His research has been on culture, entrepreneurship, and development in rural and semi-rural communities in Guatemala, Colombia, and Haiti, and he has studied institutions and economic performance in mineral-abundant societies like Botswana. He has been a visiting professor in Senegal, Mexico, China, and Haiti, among other countries. His email address is andresmg@ufm.edu.
