Austin Sandler

Austin Sandler is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Geographical Sciences at the University of Maryland and Consultant at The World Bank Group. He holds an M.S. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota and an M.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wyoming. His teaching includes principles of economics and human geography, mapping and geographic information science, and economic geography. His research covers economic development and growth, food security and childhood malnutrition, spatial economics and econometrics, and history of scientific thought.
