Econ Journal Watch is a leading forum for debates about economic research and the economics profession. It features timely commentary on the discipline’s otherwise rarely questioned assumptions. It also scrutinizes data and arguments economists use to reach conclusions. Its most valuable service lies in its willingness to challenge established norms, beliefs, and priorities. It performs these tasks with remarkable impartiality. Authors of critiqued works are given every opportunity to return defenses. It is in just a few years that Econ Journal Watch has placed itself at the center of numerous ongoing debates. I hope that its impressive growth continues and that its coverage of issues expands even further in coming years.
