Dan Johansson obtained his Ph.D. in Economics at the Royal Institute of Technology in 2001 with the thesis The Dynamics of Firm and Industry Growth: The Swedish Computing and Communications Industry. He holds a Licentiate degree in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and received the title of Associate Professor (docent) at Jönköping University in 2007. Since 2013, he is Professor of Economics at the Örebro University School of Business. He is also a research fellow at HUI Research, Stockholm. His research concerns entrepreneurship, family business, firm growth and institutions. He has published in Family Business Review, Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of Evolutionary Economics, Journal of Industry, Competition and Trade, and Small Business Economics.
