Daniel Montanera is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics in the Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University. His research investigates defensive medicine and the impact of medical malpractice liability costs on health care spending and access to care, as well as auction theory in health insurance exchanges. His work has been published in such journals as Information Systems Research, the Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and the European Journal of Health Economics.
