Erwin Dekker is assistant professor in cultural economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and post-doctoral fel­low at the George Mason University Department of Econom­ics. He has recently published The Viennese Students of Civilization with Cambridge University Press. His research focuses on ev­ery area where art and culture meet economics. He has pub­lished in the fields of cultural economics, economic method­ology and intellectual history, and he is currently working on exemplary goods and moral frameworks.
