Hugo J. Faria is a Lecturer of Economics at University of Miami in Florida, and Professor of Economics and Finance at IESA in Venezuela. He earned a bachelor’s degree in eco­nomics from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, a master’s in public policy from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in business with a concentration in finance from the University of South Carolina. He is the editor and coauthor of several books on the Venezuelan economy: Para Rehacer a Venezuela (1998), El Encarecimiento Injusto (2006), and Misión Riqueza (2007; see also the accompanying video series).
