Professor Jianjun Miao received his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester (2003), after completing earlier studies at University of Science and Technology of China, Zhongshan University, and Queen’s University. He joined Zhejiang University as a Tsingshan Chair Professor in 2025 and serves as Dean of the School of Economics. He previously was a Professor of Economics at Boston University. Professor Miao is currently an Associate Editor of Economic Theory and Macroeconomic Dynamics, and was a former Associate Editor of Quantitative Economics and Journal of Mathematical Economics. His research fields are macroeconomics, finance, decision theory, public finance, and industrial organization. He has published in American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of Finance, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, International Economic Review, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Quantitative Economics, and Theoretical Economics.
