John R. M. Hand

John R. M. Hand is the Robert March & Mildred Borden Hanes Distinguished Professor of Accounting at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC–Chapel Hill and a Visiting Professor of Accounting at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His research interests span many areas, most recently focusing on matters relating to executive race/ethnicity in US public companies. Dr. Hand has twice won the American Accounting Association’s competitive manuscript competition for his scholarship and is coauthor with Baruch Lev of New York University of Intangible Assets: Values, Measures and Risks (Oxford University Press, 2003).
