Joseph J. Minarik

Joseph J. Minarik is Senior Vice President and Director of Research at the Committee for Economic Development. From 1981 to 1986, Dr. Minarik worked closely with Members of Congress, especially Senator Bill Bradley, on federal income-tax reform. In 1993, Dr. Minarik became Associate Director for Economic Policy at the White House Office of Management and Budget, working on the formulation and adoption of President Bill Clinton’s 1993 economic program and the bipartisan balanced-budget agreement of 1997. Dr. Minarik received his B.A. in economics from Georgetown University in 1971, and he holds three graduate degrees in economics from Yale University, earning his Ph.D. in 1974.
