Lars Engwall is professor emeritus of management at Uppsala University, Sweden. He has done research about the production and diffusion of management ideas, particularly in media companies, banks, and academic institutions. His recent publications include From Books to MOOCs? (coedited with Erik De Corte and Ulrich Teichler, Portland Press, 2016), Defining Management: Business Schools, Consultants and the Media (with Matthias Kipping and Behlül Üsdiken, Routledge, 2016), Corporate Governance in Action (editor, Routledge, 2019) and Missions of Universities (editor, Springer, 2020). He is an elected member of a number of learned societies, and he has received honorary degrees from the Åbo Akademi University and the Stockholm School of Economics.
