Mario Solis-Garcia earned his Ph.D. in economics at University of Minnesota in 2011 and is now an associate professor of economics at Macalester College. His current research interests concern macroeconomics, in particular, the effects of government policy over the business cycle and in the determinants of the shadow economy.
