Otto Pipatti studied sociology at the University of Helsinki, where he defended his doctoral thesis in 2017. His first book, Morality Made Visible: Edward Westermarck’s Moral and Social Theory, was published by Routledge in 2019. Currently, Pipatti is a visiting researcher at the Royal Anthropological Institute (RAI) in London, where he is working on a book, “The Origins of Human Social Nature: Westermarckian Sociology and Social Anthropology,” contracted with Palgrave Macmillan. The study is based on his book published in Finland in 2023 on the Westermarckian school.
