Ted Balaker is the Jacobs Fellow at the Reason Foundation in Los Angeles. Balaker’s research and policy writings focus on transportation, urban policy, and employment issues, such as offshore outsourcing and telecommuting. Prior to joining Reason, Balaker spent five years with ABC Network News producing pieces on issues such as government reform, regulation, the environment, n policy. Mr. Balaker is the coauthor (with Samuel R. Staley) of a book that addresses the role of mobility in urban economies (forthcoming from Rowman & Littlefield). He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Irvine, with bachelor degrees in Political Science and English.
