Yifei Lyu is an analyst at the New Zealand Treasury. His research fields include macroeconomics and applied econometrics. He has been working on cyclical variation in government spending multipliers, disentangling the effects of oil market shocks, and the time-varying effects of oil price shocks. He received his Ph.D. degree in economics from University of California San Diego in 2019 and received his Bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from Wuhan University in 2013.
