In the Fall of 2025, David Barker was sworn in as the Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education, and so he has had to step down as an EJW Co-Editor. Adam Smith described distributed justice as one’s making a becoming use of what is his or her own. He also described it as, not merely beneficence, but proper beneficence. We are enormously grateful to David for the beneficence he has directed to EJW, as author of a marvelous series of articles debunking claims of temperature~growth correlation and three years as a super effective EJW Co-Editor.
